The Office of Student Financial Services assists students in meeting their educational expenses while attending the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Assistance is provided through grants, scholarships, student employment, and loans.

Professional Judgement
The Office of Student Financial Services may assist students whose parents or themselves have been impacted financially during this time of economic hardship. If you, if independent, or your parents, if dependent, have become unemployed or faced significant financial issues please contact a financial aid advisor. You may be eligible to complete a professional judgement to help meet your financial needs.

Note: Your financial aid file must be complete, and you must accept your financial aid awards in Workday prior to funds being posted to your student tuition account. Ensure that all requirements are met at least three (3) business days prior to the scheduled disbursement date. See Workday Job Aid (PDF).
CARES Act Information
The Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act (enacted March 27, 2020) provided funding to institutions of higher education to award in the form of emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronaries.
UMMC’s application for CARES Act funds is closed but will reopen if new funds are received.
